It incorporates Subscribe! v1.1 and newsletter_unsubscribe contribs for 1.2.7, plus adds more functionality.

Catalog features:
-Show subscription link via sidebox or header [template edit required for header]
-Subscribers are able to select HTML or text-only mail at signup (unless cart only allows text-only).
-Automagically merge subscriptions if an account is created using the same address.
-Newsletter-only subscribers are required to confirm their email address and a unique code to reduce spam/spoofing
