We have added an extra function to enable or disable Special Products from here. It's recommended by our clients.

"Using Specials in a Quick Update type of on/off would work fine!. if we could put the sale price in there next to the regular price and have an activate box.

To make room on the page, we don't need to see the item# column. We did look at this but disregarded it as an option because putting one item on sale and activating them one at a time would be very inefficient and time-consuming.

When sale time starts (when all items go on sale at a specified time), we can put a check-mark next to each item under Special (or Show Sale Price) and then do an Update on all the items at once. That would be almost identical to what we had, which was customized many years ago to how we work and hard to improve on at this point. "

1. the second input box is Special Price; the checkbox controls whethe to enable it
2. when the product has a special price, no matter it's enabled or not, the price will be pink background color
3. If you leave the Special Price as empty, it will be removed from the list of speical products
