I have a zencart website set up but i need to add a new shipping module because the shipping prices i have are too varied for the ones supplied. i am open to suggestions as to how the problem is done but it needs to be easy enough so client can apply prices to new products themselves.
So what i have are a dozen categories but each categories products requires different shipping plus if a user orders 2 products then there is a different price again.
for example:
one product is a hand towel which is P&P £2.50 but then if they buy 2 then the second is only an additional £1.00 so the full shipping price is £3.50 for the 2.
So what i want is a shipping module table where i can set different shipping prices plus additional prices many times over AND assign a product ID to each shipping price
For example: it might be sometghing like-
1:2.50,+1:1.00-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 1:1.50,+1:2.00-19,20,21,22,23
So there we have 2 different shipping rates:
1) first product costs£2.50 then for every plus one product add another £1.00. the products these prices are attached too are ID 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
2)First product costs£1.50 then for every plus one product add another £2.00 the products these prices are attached too are ID 19,20,21,22,23
I could then add many of these to cover the many different prices i have for different products.
Also to take into concideration is that with very small light items it might be additional £1.00 for every 4 items not 1, i have upload prices so you can look to get a good idea
look forward to hearing from you guys with some good solutions, not a big project so not looking to pay that much but am looking build relations with people for future jobs
